Some people also chose to “Disneybound” which is where you wear clothes inspired by a character, film, movie, etc. Though not required, many people lean towards a mid-century (1950’s or 1960’s) style look and dress. So for two days a year, people embrace the idea of coming to the parks in your “Sunday Best.” Last Saturday’s Fall Soiree was the most recent such day. Men wore suits! Women wore dresses, hats and heels! It was a cause for looking your best being dapper and smartly dressed. It was inspired by the notion that when Disneyland first opened in 1955, people dressed up to attend. I am so lucky to be one of the official photographers for Dapper Day at Disneyland Here are a few of my favorite photos from this past Spring event. Disney is for fun But sometimes the passions combine. It’s an unofficial event that takes place twice a year at Disneyland, Walt Disney World and Disneyland Paris. If you didnt know, I am a wedding and events photographer as my 'real job'. If you’re not familiar with Dapper Day, don’t worry I wasn’t either until a few months ago. I attended my first ever Dapper Day Fall Soiree at Disney’s Hollywood Studios October 3, 2015. that I didn't have to wait 2 hours in line for.Posted by miss m on Friday, Octo 4:54pm in Creativity, Entertainment, General Blather, Love, Photography and Pics, Things To Do, Walt Disney World | ∞ That definitely made the little girl's day. She totally played up as if I was the real Kristoff. I guess the CM inside told her Kristoff was here. So I figured why not? Funny enough, right after the REAL Anna came out of the house to see me.

I never once actually said I was Kristoff though and didn't sign any autographs. I just gave her a hug, a high five and took a silly picture. However, because the child was so excited and the parents gestured to me, I played along a little. The parents obviously knew I wasn't official. We were taking a picture outside the Frozen meet and greet area (you can see it on my frozen edition thread) and a little girl in line got SO EXCITED when she saw me. which is actually kind of flattering!īravo! :clap:Well from the picture you would have fooled me! I got similar reactions when I was Kristoff last Dapper Day. that's just a lady here for the costume party!" She looked SO crestfallen it broke my heart! And twice people asked if they could take my picture, but I did what I was supposed to do and told them "It's against the rules." But they both took pics anyway. Her mom had to tell her, "That's not really Alice. At one point he and I were headed into Fantasyland along the Wishing Well walkway and as soon as I came out of the archway, this little girl (maybe 5?) saw me, got a HUGE grin, and ran up to me for an autograph and picture. Thanks! Funny that you should say that, though. The Greatest Day of the Year, DAPPER DAY is here Well, technically Dapper Day happens TWICE a year at Disneyland, but still This time we visit the Spring 2015 Dapper Day to check out all those.

It weighs in at around 28 pounds! So you have my heartfelt admiration for you all taking the time and effort to look so wonderful! That Alice dress is complete with bloomers, petticoat, stockings, black patent leather Mary Janes and blonde wig. I can sympathize with the discomfort of wearing heavy and layered outfits. I think you ALL looked great, though! It really shows that you put a lot of effort and thought into each outfit. Wonderful job! Thanks! Funny that you should say that, though. That is a great picture and costumes! At first I thought you were an actual Disneyland Alice.
